Tessa has had over 10 years of dietetics experience. After completing her degree in nutrition as well as her dietetic internship at the University of Houston, she began her career with clinical experience at St. Luke’s Hospital. Soon thereafter, she transitioned to The Menninger Clinic for five years, which allowed her to gain the experience needed to weave a mental health component and focus into her nutrition practice. During this time, she also counseled individuals and led numerous groups focusing on eating disorders at The Healthy Weigh. In 2016, she completed her master’s degree in nutrition at Texas Woman’s University. From 2017 to 2021, she honed her eating disorder specialty at the Eating Recovery Center of Houston and Virtual Services.
Tessa is a member of the Houston Eating Disorder Specialists and is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and meditation guide. Her goal is to guide individuals on their own personal journey to peace and harmony with food, their body, and themselves.
