Nancy Griffin, LPC-A

Group Leader | Post Graduate Fellow | Clinician at Ethos Wellness Woodway

As a compassionate and highly motivated clinician, Nancy Griffin utilizes her diverse background, strong foundation in education and experience obtained in her masters in Clinical Mental Health program to help support her clients. Her myriad of experiences provides her with a unique perspective with which she can approach her practice.

Nancy is a dedicated professional, with ten years of experience in the field of education. As an elementary school teacher, Nancy witnessed many young children struggling to find emotional support that was necessary to build the skills to lead happy, well-rounded lives. These experiences provided her with invaluable insights into the emotional and psychological needs of young children, as well as the challenges they face in their formative years. Nancy firmly believes in the power of play as a means of expression, communication and healing, and sees the benefits of play therapy as a developmentally appropriate therapeutic modality for young children. Nancy’s passion for working with young children shines through as she creates a safe and nurturing environment where they can explore and work through their emotions and challenges.

In addition to her work with young children, Nancy has a strong interest in working with adults who identify as millennials, immigrants, and second-generation immigrants, helping them to navigate the complexities of generational traumas, patriarchal societal norms, and everyday life stressors. As a second-generation Mexican American, mother, and wife in an interracial marriage, Nancy recognizes the unique struggles faced by these populations and aims to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive therapeutic support.

Nancy Griffin’s fulfilling personal life revolves around her cherished family; she resides with her loving husband and two wonderful children. Together, they embody a set of core family values that encompass the importance of spending quality time together, embarking on enriching travel adventures and preserving and celebrating their cultural traditions. In Nancy’s home, life, love, support, and the pursuit of shared experiences form the foundation of their strong family bonds. As a result, Nancy and her family create a nurturing and enriching environment that values individual growth and their collective unit’s strength.
