Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOT) for Mental Health

What Is IOP?

IOP stands for Intensive Outpatient Program. If you are having trouble carrying on with daily life, relationships and responsibilities, one of our specialized, comprehensive Intensive Outpatient Programs might be the right fit to help you get back on the right track. IOP can be a great solution for those looking for an alternative to residential treatment or hospitalization.

Three Unique, Impactful Programs

Encompassing issues like mental illness and trauma, substance use or process addiction, emotional distress and problems functioning in work, school or relationships, our IOPs offer three unique, eight-week tracks with a specialized focus and approach, each tailored to help you find and maintain healing and recovery. Between 10-15 treatment hours each week are spent working towards your wellness goals. This is a few hours more than the average IOP provides, and we feel the results are well worth the effort. An experienced psychiatrist serves as the Medical Director for all Ethos Intensive Outpatient Programs.

Flexible Hours And Virtual Options

Life is full of responsibilities like work, school and parenting. With flexible day and nighttime hours and virtual participation options available, clients can continue on with their daily lives, working towards healing and wellness with minimal disruption.

Overview

Using psychodynamic therapy, a more holistic type of treatment that takes into account the breadth of our life experience, we work to increase insight and awareness to better understand oneself and one’s past and present, and to make connections that lead to positive, adaptive changes. Through twelve hours per week of group and individual therapy, along with special services designed for young adults and professionals and additional support for clients and families, we aim to restore hope through meaningful goals, create pathways forward and increase personal agency.

History

After founding The Lovett Center in 2014 with friend and business partner Will Davis, Ethos Behavioral Health Group Chief Clinical Officer Robert Hilliker saw a need for an Intensive Outpatient Program focused on an integrative path to wellness. He developed the Pathos IOP, which has since served thousands in the Greater Houston community. This desire to provide a complete system of care, including the importance of adolescent mental health care , has been the driving force for Hilliker and Ethos Chief Business Officer Will Davis, along with Chief Operations Officer Ceci Torn, as they worked to found programs that now include residential treatment, detoxification and aftercare, as well as two additional Intensive Outpatient Programs, each with a unique focus and approach.

LOCATION

Ethos Wellness – The Lovett Center, situated in Houston’s Montrose area, remains the physical location for Pathos at this time, but clients may choose to participate through telehealth at no extra cost.
