Jessica Zachary, LCSW

Clinician at Ethos Wellness Lovett

As a clinician at Ethos Wellness – Lovett, Jessica Zachary, LCSW specializes in helping adults with a wide variety of psychiatric issues including mood and anxiety disorders, addiction, and relationship issues. Jessica has a particular passion for helping those clients who are newly diagnosed adjust to managing their condition and effectively communicate with their psychiatrists. Her style is psychodynamically oriented, helping people learn from their past to understand how it impacts their present, while bringing a strong dose of pragmatism and hands-on coaching when needed to help her clients achieve reasonable goals and define their own markers of progress. Most importantly, Jessica strives to develop a healing and therapeutic experience with each client. She helps her clients to feel seen and heard in therapy, co-creating a transformational experience that undoes feelings of aloneness and suffering in their lives more broadly.

Jessica comes from a family of psychologists, social workers and other helping professionals. She earned her bachelor’s in psychology from Yale cum laude followed by a master’s in social sciences from the University of Chicago. Initially she followed another passion, beginning a 14-year-long career in fashion including luxury retail management, event planning, training and online visual merchandising for global luxury brands. During this time, Jessica spent six years as a volunteer bereavement counselor at Bo’s Place, which prompted her to transition into a career in social work by pursuing her master’s from the University of Houston.

Since then, Jessica has continued to gain experience at Bo’s Place, helping children, adolescents and adults cope with traumatic losses as a group facilitator. She also has experience working with children dealing with conduct disorder and their families, clients struggling with schizophrenia and those with intellectual disabilities.

At home, Jessica is a mom to two young children, ages 8 and 4, and a 110 lb Bernese Mountain dog, Kate. She is an active volunteer in her children’s schools and a die-hard indoor cyclist. In her spare time, she loves to cook up new business ideas with her husband and ambitious desserts, which always taste better than they look.
