As an LCSW, Amanda brings extensive experience in dual diagnosis settings across multiple levels of care. With over a decade as an LCDC, she has worked with individuals and families navigating substance use disorder recovery. She completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work in 2022, where she was selected as a Trauma Fellow and gained specialized training in trauma work. She also holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Capella University.
Amanda practices from a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy. Her specializations include mood disorders, substance use disorders, anxiety, and PTSD. She holds EMDR training credentials and values creating a safe space for healing through genuine client connection.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys her teenager's musical pursuits, exploring Houston's food scene, and time with family. She is supervised by Emma Taylor, LCSW-S.
