Therapist and Fellow

Annsley Tarver

LMSW · Licensed Master of Social Work

Annsley primarily works with individual adults, adolescents (ages 11 to 18), and couples and partners to navigate the complexities within relationships and address patterns that may no longer be serving you. She might be a good fit if you are hoping to understand and strengthen your relationships, with yourself and in romantic, platonic, and familial dynamics. Annsley enjoys helping people improve communication and interpersonal effectiveness and explore topics such as identity, self-esteem, life transitions, and non-traditional relationships.

Annsley is passionate about this work because she believes that healing and growth take place in the relational context and are attainable for everyone. Her goal is to create a collaborative, supportive space where you feel comfortable showing up as you are, while also being gently challenged to work through difficult emotions, make sustainable changes, and build the life you want. Her approach is tailored to your needs, goals, and personality, often blending Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused techniques.

Annsley began her clinical work at Texas Children's Hospital and Cypress Creek Behavioral Health Hospital, supporting adolescents and adults as they navigated anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and behavioral challenges. Before earning her Master of Social Work, she worked in performing arts administration and botanic design, and enjoys bringing these experiences into her therapeutic work. In her free time she enjoys sewing her own clothes, reading novels, and exploring Houston with her loved ones. Annsley is supervised by Emma Taylor, LCSW-S.
