Evan Smith, LPC-A, is a Fellow and Clinician at Ethos Wellness who brings a unique blend of lived experience and evidence-based practice to his therapeutic work. His clinical journey began as a paraprofessional at the OCD Institute of Texas, where he specialized in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) coaching for individuals with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety-related conditions. While continuing to develop his skills in ERP, Evan completed an internship at Luna Integrative Care, a substance use and mental health treatment center in Houston. There, he expanded his expertise in group psychotherapy and deepened his approach as a clinician.

Evan works primarily with adults and older teens navigating OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD), anxiety-related disorders, and personality disorders. He also has a special interest in working with athletes and non-sport performers, drawing from his own experience as a collegiate athlete to foster connection, insight, and resilience in high-performance individuals. Evan is particularly passionate about supporting racial and ethnic minorities and individuals navigating identity within complex systems.

Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Evan prioritizes evidence-based interventions while maintaining a warm, collaborative approach. He believes in cultivating authenticity and curiosity in the therapeutic space, ensuring each client feels seen and supported in their unique journey. Evan accepts a sliding scale of payment and is committed to making therapy more accessible for those seeking support.
