Group Leader | Clinician at Ethos Wellness
As a Licensed Master Social Worker at Ethos Wellness Woodway, Christy facilitates both adult and adolescent Intensive Outpatient Groups, utilizing the skills of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition, she sees adult and adolescent individual outpatient clients and facilitates a process group focused on post-traumatic growth. Christy works to build a strong rapport with clients by bringing curiosity, empathy, and a compassionate responsiveness to each interaction.
After years of solely wearing the “mom” hat to her three children, Christy unearthed a true passion in the field of social work and completed a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Integrated Behavioral Health from Baylor University’s Diana R. Garland School of Social Work.
As a social worker, Christy approaches each client through the lens of liberation health and implements various evidence-based interventions based on the client’s individual needs. Christy strongly believes in the therapeutic value of human relationships, and so desires to help carry the burdens of life with clients, while guiding them to cultivate the strength within them to face the future with hope.
