Group Leader | Post Graduate Fellow | Clinician at Ethos Wellness
Breslyn Shapiro, LMSW, is a clinician at Ethos Behavioral Health who provides compassionate, person-centered care to children, adolescents, and adults. She utilizes an integrative, strengths-based approach informed by psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and solution-focused therapies. Breslyn believes that a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing and growth.
With several years of post-graduate clinical experience at Ethos Wellness, Breslyn has worked across various levels of care including children’s services, adolescent intensive outpatient (IOP), recovery support, and outpatient therapy. Her clinical specialties include the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and co-occurring mental health conditions. She is especially attuned to clients navigating recovery, drawing from her own lived experience with personal and family recovery.
Breslyn’s passion for human development began during her time living abroad in Bangkok, Thailand, and Taipei, Taiwan from 2009–2013. This experience inspired her to pursue a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Asian American Studies, from the University of Houston. During her undergraduate fieldwork, she worked one-on-one with preschool-aged children at the Mandarin Immersion Magnet School, sparking her commitment to supporting youth through therapeutic work.
Prior to her clinical internship with the Ethos Training Institute, Breslyn gained hands-on experience in mental health and substance use treatment settings, including:
- The Menninger Clinic’s young adult Community Integration Program
- Pathfinder Recovery as a Resident Advisor and Recovery Support Specialist
- Positive Recovery Centers’ Hill Country residential treatment program
Breslyn is passionate about empowering individuals of all ages to explore their strengths, process their experiences, and move toward meaningful change.
