Annsley Tarver

Annsley Tarver

LMSW Fellow / Clinician

Annsley primarily works with individual adults, adolescents (ages 11-18) and couples/partners to navigate the complexities within relationships and address patterns that may no longer be serving you.

She might be a good fit for you if you are hoping to understand and strengthen your relationships – with yourself, and in romantic, platonic, and familial dynamics. Annsley enjoys working with people to improve communication and interpersonal effectiveness and explore topics such as identity, self-esteem, life transitions, and non-traditional relationships.

Annsley is passionate about this work because she believes that healing and growth take place in the relational context and are attainable for everyone. Her goal is to create a collaborative, supportive space where you feel comfortable showing up as you are, while also being gently challenged to work through difficult emotions, make sustainable changes, and build the life you want.

Annsley’s approach is tailored to meet your needs, goals and personality. She often uses a blend of therapeutic approaches, pulling from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Techniques.

Working together, you can create lasting change by discovering what works for you based on your strengths and unique experience.

Annsley began her clinical work at Texas Children’s Hospital and Cypress Creek Behavioral Health Hospital, supporting adolescents and adults as they navigated anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and behavioral challenges. Before earning her Master of Social Work, she worked in performing arts administration and botanic design, and enjoys incorporating these experiences into her therapeutic work. In her free time she enjoys sewing her own clothes, reading novels, and exploring Houston with her loved ones.
