During residency, Dr. Cho dedicated significant time to the study and practice of psychotherapy through the program’s specialized psychotherapy track. He received focused training in cognitive processing therapy (CPT), radically open dialectical behavior therapy (RO-DBT), and psychodynamic psychotherapy. He then completed a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry, further developing a nuanced appreciation for the biological and psychological influences that shape our experiences.

Dr. Cho is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has been a Public Psychiatry Fellow with the American Psychiatric Association and previously served on the board of the Austin Psychoanalytic Society. He holds affiliate faculty appointments with both UT Dell Medical School and Texas A&M College of Medicine, providing clinical teaching to psychiatry residents and medical students.
