Lisa Franks, LMSW, CDWF

Executive Director of Prism and Woodway, Director of Business Services

As an Executive Director and Director of Business Services, Lisa works closely with clients and families to help understand and identify services that will benefit them. She works to stay in close contact with stakeholders to best understand how to meet the needs of the community, and her unique perspective on interventions helps resolve an array of issues. She works closely with the clinicians and staff across the Ethos organization to build frameworks and processes to enhance and streamline the Business Services along with Clinical Services.

As part of the Leadership Team, Lisa is also the Ethos Training Institute Director and Educational Coordinator. She passionately believes in working with the next generation of Clinicians and helping to deepen their experience giving clinical care while receiving the top in the industry training and support.

In addition to her Leadership roles, Lisa is a clinician, graduating with a Master of Social Work degree in May of 2021 from the University of Houston, receiving her Master of Social Work License and working towards her Clinical Social Work License in order to help clients on a more personal level.

For nearly 20 years, Lisa led a long and varied career prior to entering the field of social work, and each position has helped shape her passion and expertise for the arts and for helping others. Her experience includes marketing and graphic design, teaching elementary school, teaching yoga and mindfulness to children and young teens, managing her own photography business and counseling students dealing with issues such as abuse, trauma and disability.

Lisa takes a psychodynamic approach in helping clients of all ages. She recently completed a 20-hour workshop to become certified in trauma-informed yoga and hopes to continue her clinical training with an emphasis on yoga, mindfulness and art therapy. She is also a Certified Daring Way Facilitator and uses these practices throughout her clinical approach.

Lisa loves being part of an organization that places importance on team building and values its members, their ideas and their passions, while maintaining emphasis on the community and individuals they serve. When not at work, Lisa still enjoys photography, particularly street and documentary-style, and she loves to travel and explore the world, having previously lived in Jakarta, Indonesia along with her two teen daughters and husband of over 20 years.
