As a Licensed Social Worker for Ethos Behavioral Health’s Lovett Center in Houston, Texas, Cody Plant utilizes a strengths-based practice that incorporates a variety of methodologies and psychotherapeutic theories. Believing in the power for all people to overcome adversity, Cody uses your personal strengths to help you on your journey to find healing and hope.

Prior to joining the staff at the Lovett Center, Cody worked at The Prairie Recovery Center, Ethos Behavioral Health Group’s inpatient substance use treatment center, where he provided clinical services and recovery counseling to patients battling addiction and various mood disorders. Cody studied Advanced Clinical Practice at Columbia University’s School of Social Work in New York City and completed his clinical practicum at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where he received training in several cognitive behavioral therapies, dialectical behavioral therapy, and psychoeducation techniques working with diverse populations from Upper Manhattan. He garnered experience working with clients battling problematic substance use and those experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses. 

Focusing on evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care, Cody uses tenets of positive psychology and humanistic approaches to help you find the strength that already exists within you. He looks forward to working with you and is currently accepting new clients.
