Cody Plant is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. He utilizes a strengths-based practice that incorporates a variety of methodologies and psychotherapeutic theories. Believing in the power for all people to overcome adversity, Cody uses your personal strengths to help you on your journey to find healing and hope.
Prior to joining the staff at the Ethos Wellness, Cody worked at The Prairie Recovery Center, an inpatient substance use treatment center, where he provided clinical services and recovery counseling to patients battling addiction and various mood disorders. Cody studied Psychiatric Social Work in a joint program between Columbia University’s Schools of Social Work and Psychiatry in New York City and completed his clinical practicum at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, his school’s research and training hospital, where he received training in several cognitive behavioral therapies, dialectical behavioral therapy, and psychiatric education techniques working with diverse populations from Upper Manhattan. He garnered experience working with clients battling anxiety, depression, problematic substance use, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and other mental illnesses.
At Ethos Wellness, Cody counsels clients of all ages. He facilitates our PRISM program, a DBT-based Intensive Outpatient Program, teaching emotional regulation skills.
Focusing on evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care, Cody uses tenets of positive psychology and humanistic approaches to help you find the strength that already exists within you. He looks forward to working with you and is currently accepting new clients.
