Sherry completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A & M University in College Station and received her Master of Arts in Psychology degree from Houston Baptist University.
Sherry is the Assistant Director and Intake Coordinator at Ethos Wellness Bellaire. She previously taught, and now oversees, the Bellaire Intensive Outpatient Program. She provides both individual and couples therapy and teaches DBT Skills Groups. Sherry works with clients who are dealing with a wide range of clinical issues, including depression and anxiety. She works especially well with those struggling with relationship issues such as codependency or love addiction. One of her special interests is in teaching couples the skills needed to improve communication, resolve conflict more effectively, and create more fulfilling relationships. She believes that discovering meaning and purpose can lead to a more satisfying life.
Sherry uses multiple treatment approaches, with an emphasis on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Positive Psychology. Her style is goal-oriented and solution-focused, combining a caring and casual style with warmth and understanding. She tailors treatment to the unique needs and personality of each of her clients as she helps them work through life’s transitions and challenges.
Sherry was intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech, and has taught both DBT Skills Groups and the IOP Program for over 10 years.
