Holli Clayton, LMSW

Group Leader | Clinician at Ethos Wellness

As a former lawyer, Holli brings a unique kind of experience to her role as an LMSW at Ethos. During her time as a municipal finance attorney, Holli gained valuable skills as both an advocate for her clients and a collaborative member of interdisciplinary teams with a focus on identifying and achieving client goals in multi-faceted business transactions. Holli brings this same kind of client-centered approach to guide clients on their healing journey with evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

While attending the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work, Holli completed a one-year internship at Ethos. Holli is currently in her first year as a post-graduate fellow and has worked with individuals and families, has facilitated Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) skills groups and other support groups, and has received extensive training in psychodynamic, CBT, and DBT approaches. Holli is especially passionate about supporting clients and families who are navigating challenging adjustments and life transitions (such as divorce, loss of a loved one, and empty nest), as well as those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and other distressing and debilitating events and emotions.

In her free time, Holli enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, running, and volunteering in the community. Holli has served as a member of the Junior League of Houston and as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Charity League-Heart of Texas Chapter. Recently, Holli was named as a 2024 American Heart Association Woman of Impact. She is also an animal lover and enjoys being “mom” to her two dogs.
