Learning to Launch: Transitioning from High School to College
August 10 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
While navigating all the new arenas during the transition from high school to college can be overwhelming, preparation can help ease that change and set students up for success. Focusing on executive function skills, with an emphasis on the unique needs of students new to college or in need of new skills to navigate college, participants will receive a jumpstart into a calm and successful transition. Balancing independence and responsibility, navigating school services and skills for the self advocacy, problem solving, college-specific time management, self regulation, mental health recognition and coping skills that new college students often face will be discussed, addressed and explored
Tuesday, August 10, 1 – 3 p.m.
