Clinician at Ethos Wellness Lovett

Courtney is aware that the stress of dealing with difficult life situations can manifest itself in maladaptive coping behaviors, depression, and anxiety. This can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, others, and the world around us. She believes that through awareness, self-compassion, and getting in touch with our true selves, we can discover that we already possess all the resources to finding peace. Courtney strives to provide holistic therapy in a safe environment through guiding clients in uniting the mind and the body and helping them find the serenity to live life to the fullest. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, working with those suffering from self harm behaviors, personality disorders, panic, anxiety, depression, negative body image, and eating disorders. Courtney has a passion for helping young adults and teens transition into adulthood. She is a yoga therapist providing individual and group yoga therapy, and yoga prescriptions which are helpful in addressing the physical conditions associated with the specific healing needs of each client. Courtney graduated in 2012 from Saint Edward’s University in Austin Texas as a Master in Counseling. She has gained experience in working with clients at Austin State Hospital, Ann Richard’s School for Young Women Leader’s, and private practice. Courtney attended the Ghosh Yoga College of India in 2017 where she received a certificate in yoga therapy, as well as completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Aura Wellness the same year. In addition, Courtney teaches yoga for the non-profit Pure Action. Her history includes teaching yoga for Big Brother Big Sister of America, residential drug rehabilitation centers, Phoenix House, and a special class for teens in recovery.
